Some students from Poland somehow managed to link the lighting of their University’s dormitory rooms to a Snake game. Seriously, don’t ask me how they did it. We’ll try and find out more about it, stay tuned!
Update: A microprocessor was fixed to control all the lightings in the building. It has nothing to do with timings (i.e. people in each room switching lights on and off in a certain pattern), but it’s still an awesome and very creative project.
There’s a certain breed of goats with a very special and silly talent: Due to a genetic disorder called Myotonia congenita, whenever they are startled or excited, their muscles stiffen and they fall over before recovering a few seconds later. Of course this looks funny as hell!
They do not actually faint, they just can’t control their muscles, especially the ones on their legs. As they do not feel pain, I would not consider it a mistreatment of animals - The woman in the video even mentions that something as simple as “being excited about being fed” might cause this muscle relaxation.
Adult goats seem to have learned how to cope with their fate - They don’t fall to the ground, instead they run in a stiff-legged manner wich looks even funnier than falling down.
Once invented as a custom modification of Warcraft 3, there are now several flash Tower Defense games on the internet. One of the most popular and complex ones is called Desktop Tower Defense.
We think it is the most appealing Tower Defense at this time, so here’s a short summary.
The goal is pretty simple: Creeps (monsters) enter the stage from the left (and from the top as well if you choose an advanced difficulty). They try to reach the exit on the opposite side of the stage, decreasing your life count by one. It is your job to kill them before they are able to escape. To do so, you can build different kinds of towers.
They do not just harm your enemies, but you should also use them to block the direct paths of your enemies so they have to walk a longer way, resulting in more time for you to shoot at them. (The screenshot above shows a pretty good maze.)
You’ve got a few different towers to choose from, including ones that do splash damage (hitting multiple enemies if they are close to each other), ones that slow the enemy’s movement, specialized anti-air towers and so on. You can upgrade all your towers several times, rendering the game even more complex.
Words can’t say how cute this little kitty is. I have never actually seen a cat meowing so many times and with such an adorable voice. Seems like she / he would like to go on like this forever.
There were so many people in need of help, we decided to write a complete walkthrough to the Never Ending Level Game.
Check it out!
(Don’t forget to Digg this article if you appreciate the walkthrough. )
Do you know Valve’s Portal that’s part of The Orange Box? There’s an impressive 2-D Flash Game that’s very similar to Portal (yet in no way related to Valve). It’s one of the most sophisticated Flash Games we’ve seen so far - and thus also pretty large in filesize (about 7 MB).
As Subject 15837 you have to find a way out of each stage using your Portal Gun. There are 40 levels to solve, different movement and combat techniques to learn, a Gravity Gun-like function of your weapon and much more to uncover.
Got stuck Just ask for help in the comments and you’ll get a hint
Obviously some people couldn’t control their character using wasd or the arrow keys. We fixed that for you, sorry for the inconvenience.
It might take up to a minute until the game is loaded, depending on your connection speed.
Update: If you like this game, you might also be interested in Portal (The Flash Version).
Do you like quiz games? If so, I’d say you give the Never Ending Level Game a try!
The Never Ending Level Game is a weird puzzle game where you use clues provided on the screen to proceed to the next level.
Quoting the author Clarence Ball, “if you beat all the levels you win and get your name on a high scores list. This game does start off easy to lure in the unsuspecting, but it gets very hard.”
Of course you may use the comment form to post your opinion about the game or if you have problems solving the levels.

This is a little compilation of useful websites you really shouldn’t miss out.
I’ll start with Media Converter. Do you sometimes feel the need to store a youtube / whatever video on your hard drive? Well, on this neat little website, you just enter the url (something like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abCdeFgHiij), choose a file type to convert the video to (you can also just rip the audio file as .mp3, for instance), adjust some settings and download it.
(Supports a lot of file types and you can convert videos on your hard drive to other formats as well.) Continue reading »
